Cambotas Trail Fest / strategy and visual identity

BRIEFING
Cambotas Trail Fest is a week-long festival, which had its first edition in December 2021, and brought together more than 500 elite athletes in the mountains of Cambotas, rural region of Barão de Cocais - MG.
Among cultural programs, visits to the main tourist attractions in the region, film shows, exhibition of photographs and paintings, gastronomic itinerary, workshops with PRO athletes, shops and lots of celebration, there was the mountain marathon that brought together the winning athletes of more than thirty events trail in Brazil, becoming the most competitive race in the country and thus revealing the best athlete of the year in the train running modality. A pioneering event in Brazil

BRAND
To create an exclusive brand, it was necessary to distance itself from the language of brands in the adventure sport segment, which use common symbols such as mountains and footprints, in addition to typography and heavy textures. We created a young and modern concept, with many colors and supporting elements to cover all sectors of the festival. In addition to the main brand of the event, the marathon logo and various materials for the event's attractions were also created.

SYMBOL CONSTRUCTION
Crankshaft means bow. In the course of the marathon, there is a natural arch of stones and this was the starting point for the creation of the logo and mainly for the choice of the main typography. In addition to the arch, which also symbolizes the start and finish in trail events, other important elements were considered, such as the location pin - as it is a well-known and valued region by lovers of adventure sports; the cave paintings, typical of the region; the bird representing freedom and the act of flying low, speed; the sun, as it is a daytime event and the typical mountains of Minas Gerais.
